Gadhadã I-5
Persistence in Meditation
1
On Mãgshar sudi 8, Samvat 1876 [25 November 1819], Shriji Mahãrãj was sitting in Dãdã Khãchar’s darbãr in Gadhadã. He was dressed entirely in white clothes. At that time, an assembly of paramhansas as well as devotees from various places had gathered before him.

Thereupon Shriji Mahãrãj said, “One should meditate on Shri Krishna Bhagwãn together with Rãdhikã. If during that meditation one cannot behold the form within one’s heart, one should not lose faith and stop the meditation. Those who persist in this way will earn the immense grace of God. Moreover, God will be bound by their bhakti.”

I know how hard it is for me to focus on maharaj and Swami when I am doing mansi; therefore, I always do it when I am home alone after school so there are no distractions.
ReplyDeleteMaharaj is so dayalu. Tells us not to loose faith and keep trying... Most of the times, I focus for few seconds and my minds wonders off but it's his Aagna to keep trying. So I shall.. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to do mansi is mandir/RBV, of course. Even amongst a crowd I can manage to feel the peace because Maharaj is right there (physically and mansi). I try to carry that feeling and peace at home or elsewhere, fail most of the time, but keep trying.
